An Old Fashioned Lavender And Yellow Easter

Whenever I see anything lavender and yellow I immediately think of Easter. Those are the colors I have always associated with Easter since I was a tiny child...but don't recall ever having a dress with that color combination!

I started with solid green satiny fabric as the "grass" for the  boxed "flower garden".

The placesetting is a white wood charger from Pier One, a Bordallo Pinheiro yellow cabbage and a lavender BP cabbage leaf luncheon/salad plate.

The glassware is Ivima.

The flatware is Oneida Louisiana.

The ceramic napkin rings are cute little bunnies holding a bouquet of flowers.
The lavender napkins are cotton.

I tried Jacqueline at Purple Chocolate Home's bleaching/dying/glitterizing sisal Christmas trees into Easter trees...they didn't come out as nice looking as hers, so I tucked them into the "flower garden" box. Some of them looked like they barely survived a forest fire!

Thank you so much for visiting today. I really appreciate and cherish all of my viewers/commenters. Hope you will return the next time.

Your table setting is beautiful! The first thing that made me pause was the beautiful centerpiece! It is breathtaking. You know, I have a similar wooden box that I need to use. So I may be copying you. Okay? Love the pansies in it. What a great idea to use fabric for your "grass". And... I want some purple cabbage plates or bowls, I was excited to find some on Ebay and bought them. Before they shipped the seller said they were really chipped, so she couldn't send them out. What a bummer. I still keep checking to see if I can find some. Your plate stick is so lovely as well and I love the color combination; Napkins and rings adorable too. Have a nice week. Valerie R.

Your tables always make me smile - they are my favorites. The colors are perfect for spring/easter. I had a flowery easter dress one time in these same colors - it was my favorite too. I love the cabbage plates and the pretty dishes. Another perfect table setting.

Bravo Marigene, Your table is beautiful dressed in yellow and lavender. The citron green tablecloth is perfect for a grassy look to accentuate the lovely spring flowers filling the planter box in your centerpiece. The yellow and purple cabbage plates are just breathtaking used together, a beautiful pairing of spring colors for an Easter tablescape. It is so cold here in Ohio that it is hard to get into a spring mood. High temperatures are only going to be in the twenties and low thirties for the next couple of days. Our furnace went out night before last and we have had a steady stream of repairmen here for two days now. The last one left around 8:30 last night and by 9:30 the furnace had quit working again. I have pots of boiling water on the stove to heat the air a bit until I can get out in the morning to buy a space heater to keep the downstairs bearable until the furnace is fixed or replaced. Brrrr

Hi Marigene! Your table is just precious! I love your centerpiece and want one like that! :) The yellows and purples are so pretty too. Your chargers and dishes look so nice and those little bunny napkin rings are too precious! Now you just need some deviled eggs and ham.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Marigene,
Just sitting here with my cup of coffee enjoying this precious and beautiful table setting. I am very partial to your centerpiece and oh my I love pansies. They bloom all Winter long in North Texas and even withstand our occasional freezes.
Gorgeous my friend!

I love all of the spring colors, and your fabulous collection of dishes. I think the rabbit fold is really cute. You did a great job jazzing it up, but I really thought it was fine as is. I am not familiar with that one, so I making note.
