Toile and Gerbera Daisies

I have had this blue and white toile tablecloth for years. I bought it because it had roosters and chickens on it...it's from back when I was collecting things with roosters. The Gerbera daisies jumped into my cart while grocery shopping. I really liked the white with pink centers, but there was only one bunch, so I added a bunch of pink and some white mums for fillers as I didn't see anything else that would go with my blue/white scheme. I paired blue checked napkins that my friend, Joen. made for me out of a new shower curtain.

The plate stack keeps getting shorter and shorter each week...simple is the name of my game. This week it's just a wood charger, navy dinner plate and white luncheon plate I like the size of the luncheon plate for green salads.

I had forgotten about these dark blue goblets...found they matched the blue in the tablecloth.

The flatware is International stainless.

Mismatched blue and white gravy boat and underplate are being used  to hold the salad dressing.

The candle holders are some type of ceramic that used to be red, black and gold...I got the paint out a while back and changed them into  nice shade of blue, which goes perfectly with this table.

Thank you for visiting today, do come back next time.

Beautiful table. I have many Gerbera daisies growing in pots, one of my favorite flowers. Makes me feel happy and a bit like summer is going to get here soon.

You had me at Toile, checks and blue! Three of my favorites and so beautifully combined together. Blue, so very refreshing and a color that I truly never tire of no matter the shade. Thank you for sharing some of the behind the scenes DIY-your candle holders and the napkins from a shower curtain-no wonder you two are friends:)
The stemware is just lovely and of course you know my love of flowers and Gerbera Daisies are such a magical Spring bloom!
I hope you have a very nice weekend!

Oh my goodness! I have been reading back over a few of your recent posts and I am in love with your tablescapes! Each one is so very beautiful. You have a real talent for it. I enjoy tablescaping every now and then. I haven't done one lately, but you have inspired me to get in there and play around with one. I'll be sure to share on the blog if I do! Have a lovely weekend.

The flowers are gorgeous too and how nice it would be to sit down here. Thanks for popping in to see me and hope you have a great weekend too.

Hi Marigene,

You always do such pretty tables, and this is one of my VERY FAVORITES!! There are so many elements here that I love! First of all, blue and white -- check; toile -- double-check; :) blue and white gingham -- double-check. I've loved toile for ages, and this year, I'm really loving gingham. Your plate stack is just right, and I would love to have those blue goblets; they would perfectly match our everyday dishes. :-D Your blue and white gravy boat and under plate are just charming -- really elegant. Your gerbera daisies are so bright and cheerful, and I have found that almost any color goes with blue and white; what do you think?

This is a beautiful table, Marigene, and I would love to enjoy a meal there. I hope you have a great week; I'm sorry I haven't been visiting lately (trying to do better about that).

Hugs to you,

Denise

I love your blue and white toile tablecloth. Beautiful! The rooster theme is charmingly lovely for summer. I think the stack is perfect with the white charger, the navy dinner plate, and the white salad/luncheon plate. Simple but elegant!
