Another Week Closer To Autumn!

I found this tablecloth quit a few weeks ago...the color was not really raspberry nor was it rust. I am not sure what you would call the color. I couldn't think of any dishes  other than the soup/salad bowl that would come anywhere near the color. A couple weeks ago I stopped at the Goodwill in a little town north of where I live and came across the dinner plates. There were 6 of them, but 2 had large chips so I bought the 4 that were intact. They match the linens perfectly. This also gave me a chance to use the flatware I found about a year ago at Savers. There was service for , but no teaspoons, just the soup spoons. I have had the little gold flower plates for a long time. They are great for desserts.
The glassware also has been here for eons! I recently found the silverplated candlesticks at Savers. I had to buy them to go with the many tablecloths I own that have grapes on them! Actually they are really pretty cool.

Thanks for visiting today, hope you return next time.

That tablescape jumps right out at you and even though I don't want fall to come too quickly, glad you make such beautiful settings. Sending good thoughts to you and Howard, hope he is doing well. bbb

Wow, Marigene, you couldn't have put that tablescape together any better had it all been sold as complementary components! It's gorgeous with the flaming colors of an autumn blaze! Very nice!

This table setting is majestic - the colors just look like they be on a table for royalty. I love the colors and how well they go together.

I've noticed recently too that sets of flatware have only soup spoons and no teaspoons - wonder why that is.

Marigene, Fall's beauty seems to have found it's place in your lovely fall tablescape. I love the jewel like colors of red and amber, they are a beautiful combination that conjours up images of maple trees in all of their Autumn glory. It is strange how everything can come together perfectly from so many disparate sources, as if this setting was always meant to be exactly as it is. I think of you often, I hope all is going well. I will continue to keep you and Howard in my prayers.... Hugs, Candy

Thank you for your prayers regarding my family. I am relieved my son is fine after that terrible head-on accident. Hugs

Marigene, this tablecloth is so pretty. You really managed to find the perfect dishes to go with it. I have a tablecloth that I struggle with. I need to pull it out and try again. This table is wonderful for autumn. It is so nice to be able to connect with you again!
