Spring Table

The weeks are flying by or so they seem to me! Here we are into May, already. Before we know it, it will be December!

The peonies are just beginning to blossom so I cut a few and added them to the tulips and alstroemeria I picked up at the grocery the other day. I also cut a couple lilac branches for the greenery. Lilac season is far to short...they are here one week and long gone by the next!

When I went through linens to donate a couple weeks ago, I came across this piece of toile fabric and thought it would make a good table runner. For napkins I am using lime/white dish towels. Hey, they are the right shade and I use them only as napkins.

I wanted a simple tablescape so I just used the white wood chargers, a white dinner plate and a spring green salad plate with the same shade of bright grassy green glassware.

I think this will be the table for Mothers' Day, too...it has my favorite shade of green!!
Happy Mothers Day!

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you will return next time.

Pretty table. I love the green and purple together, that is my favorite color combination and favorite colors. With gorgeous toile linens and an amazing plate stack you have one beautiful tablescape!

This has to be one of my favorite color combinations. Wonderful spring table, and perfect for Mother's Day. My lilac bushes are 20 years old, and this is the second time they are not going to bloom due to the cold snap we had that killed the buds.

Beautiful - the flowers are the perfect accent - they just sing spring! I love the idea for the napkins, I'll have to keep that in mind. A perfectly pretty table for Mother's Day - I just haven't decided on my table yet - I'm leaning towards the lighthouse dishes - a little preview of summer - we'll see if I stick with that choice. Happy Mother's Day my friend.

Ooh Marigene, I love that toile black and white fabric...and with that shade of green, the tablescape is stunning!
I loved seeing the picture of your Angel Mom, who I'm sure is looking down on you and your sisters.

Ooooo, I've always loved black & lime green & when you throw in toile, too...Woo-Hoo!
What a pretty spring table! Your peonies are way ahead of mine. I just got the cages put around them & the buds are still very tight. It is STILL chilly here most days. *sigh*

Pretty pic of your Mom!

So beautiful. Love the toile fabric you found. Looks great with your greens. Our peonies are about gone here. Saw one at my dad's house and am thinking about movies it to my house. Hope they transplant easy. Will have to read up on it. Beautiful pic of your Mom. My Mom has been gone since 2004 but seems like it was just a short time ago.
