Pumpkin Dishes Are The Best!

I said I was going to do one more summer table, but I have changed my mind. It may still be hot here on the prairie, but I just can't force myself to get summer things out, again! I just want it to cool down enough to open windows and doors, once again.

This table was inspired by a couple things, the tablecloth with all the great fall colors and the pumpkin salad plates.

Each place setting started with a woven charger, an orange dinner plate, a pumpkin salad plate, and a small pumpkin soup bowl.

The centerpiece consists of large copper candleholders and a pitcher of fall flowers.

The salad plates are this year's Better Homes & Gardens limited edition fall plates. I have only 4 of last years, which are very, very similar.

The napkin is held with a hammered copper napkin ring.

Thanks for visiting today, hope you will come back next time.

Wish I knew how you keep doing another fabulous tablescape. You know how much I like plaid. Once again you get the blue ribbon for the best tablescape.

Love the warm orange, green and rust colors. It definitely looks like a Vermont autumn day! A nice curried squash soup would taste wonderful!

Love you,
Jude

You got me with the copper, I love it. The pumpkin plates are nice too. I've gotta tell you, I thought you made a big mistake when you painted your hutch green...I was wrong, it has blended in beautifully with all your tables! Who knew! Lynne

Marigene,

This is perfection on a table! That table cloth is incredible. It looks so good in your dining room with that green hutch! I love the pumpkin plates. I think my favorite thing is the copper candlesticks. Wish we had a Savers here, I would be running out right now to get those! Dianne

Everything is so cheery and bright. I love love love the pumpkin plates. Why am I always late and miss when these things are available in stores? I like how you coordinated everything in such lovely autumn colors. I like the little pumpkin soup dishes too. I have mini covered pumpkin soup tureens - I'll use those in a table setting this year I think.

Great table, so much color for the fall season. Nice salad plates, so ready for cooler weather and today it arrived. Love the tablecloth too.

What fun bowls! Yes, it is hard to mentally change when the heat is still blazing. We have had cool mornings and nights. I love that, and it gets me in the mood!

Sometimes you just have to help fall along! And pumpkin plates are a great way to get started- we can only enjoy them for a short time anyway, so time to make the most of the season even though the thermometer says summer! This bright and cheery table will keep things cheery even when the fall skies eventually turn gray-

Love this "pumpkin" themed tablsecape, dear friend!
The leaves have a slight "hint" of Autumn in ourtrees!
I adore all the "copper" accents within your table!

Pumpkin dishes are the best! These actually look to be the perfect size to make them useable. I have lidded pumpkin bowls from Pier One that I love, but they are too big to be practical. Similarly, I have pumpkin ramekins that are too small to be of much use. Yours, as Goldilocks would say, are just right. Beautiful table, and gorgeous colors.
