My favorite time of the week is once again here, Tablescape Thursday. Be sure to stop by Between Naps On The Porch to see what all the talented ladies and gentlemen have put together this week. Thank you once again for hosting, Susan.
To make the photos larger just click on them, to make them huge click twice.
This is my last table for the fall season, then on to Christmas and Cuisine Kathleen's Christmas/Winter White Event on December 15, 2010. Hope everyone will join her.
While at Walmart a few weeks ago I saw some really lovely fall plates, but didn't buy them at that time. Can you all believe that?! I hoped there would be a sale and that there would be four left. Well, they went on sale but there were only three left, so I snatched them up. While at another store I found the fourth one. By then the dinner plates were also on sale, so I picked up four.
In my stash I knew I had napkins that would be perfect with the shade of purple in the plates.
The water glasses are some I have had for quite awhile and also were a good purple match. Not wanting purple overkill, I used a clear wine stem.
The place setting is rather pretty, don't you think? Well, maybe the pale lavender tablecloth isn't the best of choices, the roses really show up in the photos, but I wanted to stick with purples.
The candlesticks are some I found at TJMaxx. I tried short cream candles but decided to go with the taller purple ones. Cream or purple, what's your opinion?
A bird's eye view.
A little candlelight.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate every one, especially my followers and the friends that leave comments, that is the only way I know you have visited!
