The inspiration for this table...the squirrel salad plates I found at WalMart. My daughter loves squirrels. First they fell into the cart and later they jumped onto the table. I tried to find nuts in the shell, but none of the stores in the area have them in, yet.
I also found a burlap runner that I thought would be perfect for this particular tablescape. I am not crazy about burlap at all, it stinks, is itchy and just not my "thing"! It reminds me of the chickens we raised when my kids were small...they were stinky, mean hens!
The stemware is a brown Noritake Provincial water goblet.
The napkins are a plain chocolate with a beige/white gingham checkered one inside. The napkin fold is called a shield, I folded down the brown lower point as I used two napkins instead of the usual one.
This centerpiece was fun to build...starting with a large woven handled tray (that I use when I serve pizza, perfect size for one of my stones), candles, metal candle holder, mini pumpkins, several squirrels in different sizes, an owl, a pair of quail, real and faux maple leaves.
Thanks for visiting today...hope you will return next time.
