Easter 2016

Bordallo Pinheiro's new line of cabbage dishes was my inspiration for this year's Easter table. The new line is called San Raphael. The colors are the same as the "old" cabbage dishes, just the shape has changed. They are almost round, with no separate leaves showing. I found only three of the purple dinner plates after scouring the city of all the Tuesday Mornings. My sweet sister-in-law found three more for me in the Tuesday Morning in her area of Ohio and mailed them to me. Thank you so much, Rondi.

I started with a floral tablecloth instead of a traditional Easter one. I chose solid purple cotton napkins held with ceramic bunny napkin rings.

The plate stack starts with a white wood charger, then I alternated green and purple Bordallo Pinheiro cabbage plates.

Pioneer Woman has a line of dishes sold at WalMart, so I picked up the plum water/lemonade stems to go with the purple cabbage plates. Once again, the Oneida Louisiana flatware is being used.

The centerpiece is the bottom portion of a small cabbage tureen filled with Easter candies and colored eggs...I had lavender peeps to add, but forgot the yucky little things. I also used 2 cones filled with candies and eggs. The flowers are purple carnations and alstroemeria in lavender Mason jars. I do not have an artistic gene in my body, but I painted some eggs for the occasion.

I want to thank Jemma of At Home With Jemma for the nice little package I received for having my number drawn on last week's Thoughts Of Home On Thursday. Some of the little eggs on the dessert plates were part of the package. If you have never stopped by her blog, you should take a few minutes to read it. Thank you again, Jemma.

Thanks for visiting today, hope you will come back next time.

HAPPY EASTER!
