Autumn Harvest

I finally have completed my set of Taylor, Smith and Taylor Autumn Harvest, circa 1959-1965, at the unbelievable price of 37¢ per piece. For less than nine dollars I have 4 six-piece place settings. This includes the dinner plates, bread/butter plates, cups/saucers, berry bowls and salad/soup bowls.

The pattern is very simple, brown and gold wheat stalks with a little bit of grey on a white background.

The placemats were from ARC Thrift Store in my little town. The price was 25¢ each. They are woven grey/blue with white.

The cups are colored on the interior, where most are just white.

The flatware is from World Market last spring. They are a pale, pearly tan, I have them in a beautiful shade of green, too. The brown linen napkins are from Savers. I think I paid about $1 each.

The amber glassware is from TJMaxx and I have had it for several years.

The amber glass candlesticks are from ARC Thrift Store a few years ago...50¢ each. The candles were found at WalMart, less than a dollar each.

I now have six tureens, all different. First I couldn't find any, now it seems like each time I go to the thrift store I find one. The most expensive one was $7.99. This creamy white tureen is a new acquisition from Goodwill. The price was $4.99 and with the senior 25% discount I paid $3.74. The only marking on the bottom is USA. The underplate goes with a different tureen but served the purpose for this table!

Is this a thrifty table or what?

I will be joining Diann at The Thrifty Groove for Thrifty Tablescape Party, The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays, Between Naps On The Porch for Tablescape Thursday, Thrifty TreasuresSouthern Hospitality. Thanks for hosting, ladies.

Thank you for visiting and leaving a comment. I hope to see you here again.
