November Tablescape

I will apologize right off for the terrible pictures, it has been a dark, rainy couple of days here on the prairie. Flowers for my birthday from Stasha and kids were the inspiration for this week's table. They have the greens, golds, and rusts of my Vernonware Homespun dishes.

After the Homespun was decided on I started pulling out tablecloths, placemats, napkins, glassware, flatware, etc.

I chose not to use a tablecloth, instead a round green placemat, a rust and brown Vera print napkin and the green handled flatware from World Market.

Not sure of the maker/pattern of the green glassware...you knew I would work lots of green into this table, didn't you?

With the placemats and napkins chosen, I then grabbed the spice/terracotta Pottery Barn Sausalito large dinner plate as the charger.

The dinner plate is by Regalia by Gibson, white with a raised border.

The next layer is the Homespun luncheon plate.

On to the next layer...a white salad plate in the Basket Relief pattern by Pier One.

Finally the Homespun dessert plate for the Colony Whitehall/Cube champagne/tall sherbet to sit on.

The layers.

Placesetting.

The centerpiece "vase"...this was probably one of my favorite yard sale finds...a large Van Briggle pitcher for $5 from about 8 years ago.

Marigene, that looks very much like Hazel Atlas "El Dorado" green. I bought some here last winter but smaller sizes. I used it with Spode Woodland in a post. Anyway, love your table!! Love the flowers...and happy birthday to you! I love the colors, and you have such a great collection of glassware:-)

That is the coolest pitcher for your beautiful flowers. I never heard of Van Briggle -- I will have to investigate. The colors are so Fallish -- really pretty.

I can relate to the darkness! Rainy and gloomy here the past two days too. I see belated birthday wishes are in order! Hope it was happy!

I don't think the photos look terrible at all...they just reflect the time of year and the crazy weather we've had the last several days around the Midwest. Today was MUCH better looking out...I saw lots of sunshine. Beautiful layering! I like that you left the table bare rather than using a linen...it's really great-looking without for this one!

I love your green stemware and your plates are just fun and fresh. I think fall tables are a little hard to put together and you keep doing it! Just wonderful.

Hi Marigene!

This is such a pretty fall table. The colors are wonderful. My favorite elements on your table are the wonderful Vera print napkins, and the green-handled flatware, and the pretty green sherbets.

Thanks so much for your kind comments on my tablescape. I'm sorry I'm just now replying; this time change has really knocked me for a loop this week. I've been so tired I can hardly hold my head up. Hopefully next week will be better. Thanks for sharing your lovely table and have a great weekend. :)
