This week has been very overcast and rainy so the photos are kind of dull.
Everyone knows, by now, that green is my favorite color so with the arrival of spring I decided to do a mostly green table with my favorite flower!
The inspiration this week came by way of the green stemware and hydrangea plates. While shopping at Tuesday Morning a few weeks ago my friend Norma spotted the green goblets on a sale shelf. They were marked $2.99, but when I got up to the register they were discounted 40% from the sale price, so I got them for $1.80 each. I wish they had more than the 4 that were on the shelf.
Once I decided on using the hydrangea plates I pulled out the ruffled green place mats and white hand crocheted table runner for the foundation of this week's tablescape.
The napkins are a pale gray green gathered with green napkin rings.
I have used the Oneida Louisiana flatware.
I have used the Wedgwood Hedge Rose dinner plate topped with Noritake Colorwave Gray salad plate.
The only thing I have blossoming are giant hyacinths, so I snipped one for the table. Their smell is so intoxicating!

Very pretty and cheery for such a cold old dank day!
Thank you for the spring tablescape as I look at all our snow. It is melting but still have lots. bbb
Very pretty! Love the hydrangea plates and green is my favorite color too!
Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers. Your plates are so pretty and those green goblets are wonderful on this tablescape. Happy April, hoping more sunshine comes your way.
hugs, Linda
Marigene,
Love those green goblets!!!
Your hydrangea plates add such an amazing contrast to the green in your tablescape! Love the curvy placemats and napkins!!!
It's 30 degrees and we are under a cover of ICE here on our side of the Prairie!!! Keeps life interesting!!!
Fondly,
Pat
WOW! They are gorgeous! I would have snatched those up too. Our TM closed down. I think they are not doing well.
I love your table, and I did pink hydrangeas this week too, LOL! We must have been on the same brainless wave length! :)
Thanks so much for sharing this lovely Spring table at Let's Dish.
Those glasses will be perfect for St. Patrick's Day too!
You'd never know it was overcast from your photos! It's been raining here for several days and flooding has been a real problem in many areas.
Those beautiful hydrangea plates would certainly help with the dreariness. How pretty!
Such a pretty table and such a great bargain on those lovely goblets. I do love those plates and your ruffled placemats. Hope it will be sunny there soon!
The weather actually gives your photo an interesting lighting effect. It's quite beautiful.
Your new glasses are lovely and alas, as Kathleen said, no more Tuesday Mornings for us (not that it was every really close to me). Love these plates. So perfect for Spring.

I love your new green goblets, Marigene! Aren't they gorgeous with your hydrangea plates??!! The ruffled placemats are so pretty and I always love a crocheted runner with your pretty wood table showing.
Beautiful table! I love the stemware and what a great deal on them!
Marigene, it might have been overcast outside, but this table is so welcoming and cheery. Love the runner! Those plates are gorgeous. And I love love those goblets. Just wonderful table.. xo marlis
Great deals on the stemware, Marigene. I love your table, the table runner is so pretty and so are the plates and glasses. The flowers are gorgeous!...Christine
I love the green goblets.......never cared for most shades of green until a couple years ago. They look great with the hydrangea plates, which I would have sworn had lavender flowers on them, too.
Rain, rain, and then maybe some snow on Friday.....just yesterday we got rid of all the remaining snow and the pond is finally snow and ice-free.
LY,
Delma
I love hydrangeas too! I have a terrible time with my bushes though - they rarely produce flowers!! Your plates are very pretty and your table looks beautiful. It isn't even close to being nice here!! We had one beautiful day so far - the rest all grey. I keep singing "the sun will come out tomorrow" just like Annie!
Marigene~ Your photos look anything but dull! Love your hydrangea plates and what a bargain your green stems are! I love the fragrance of hyacinths!
Those plates are just too pretty. I like all the beautiful greens you used. Very bold, Springy and full of energy.
XOXO,
Meredith
NO KIDDING the smell of the hyacinth is intoxicating!!! I LOVE it when I'm in the grocery store in March and get my first whiff! It gives me hope that we are not stuck in the desolate, gray, sunless cavern called Winter in Kansas City! :-)
Your hydrangea plates are SO pretty, and I love that you were able to get such a great bargain on the stemware. Don't despair...you are such a good one for hunting down stuff that I'm sure you will find 4 more...and those will probably be at a great price, too!
The ruffled placemats look really great with this setting. They add to the femininity of it.
I think we're both in the clear tonight for thunderstorms like the past couple of nights or the snow that they might get up north. It's gonna be COLD, though!!! :-(
P.S. - FYI: You have a shout out on my post this week! :-)
So pretty! I love those goblets and the lovely hydrangea plates! It looks like a wonderful table to combat the dreary weather outside! =D Have a great week!
Your bright, cheerful table is the perfect solution to an overcast day. Just looking at it makes me smile! Love those pink hydrangeas on the plates.
Such a deal! And a great shade of green. Very pretty!
I love all the layers. I'm love that flatware from Savers.
We have the same goblets. My friend gave me mine for my birthday last year.
Those plates are gorgeous! I love hydrangeas. And you're entirely right about the smell of hyacinths. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. :)
Oh Marigene, such beautiful hydrangea plates, great green goblets..I love them! Your entire tablescape is pretty, with the wavy place mats and gorgeous flatware too. Thanks for your sweet and kind visit.

Oh I love anything hydrangea and I love your plates. I've been strolling through your blog. You have quite a collection of tableware! Just gorgeous.
Lovely tablescape! Two of my favorite flowers - White hyacinth and pink geraniums. My hyacinth are just poking their heads up. Wish I had more of them in the garden. Thanks for sharing your beautiful table today.

Those green goblets are gorgeous!! I would love some of them (even tho I have the retro green ones.) The hydrangea plates are so pretty as are the ruffled placemats. Lovely table!
Katherine
gorgeous! I love that runner! Those glasses are wonderful.
Your table is so cheerful and pretty. Love the different colors. Thanks for stopping by for a visit. I see you are from Central Kansas. I'm a former Kansan myself. I grew up in SE Kansas and now live in the Pacific NW. New follower on GFC! Hope you'll stop by again.
Everything about your table is really pretty and I don't say that just because green and pink happen to be my favorite colors. I love those hydrangea plates so much that I bought only one several years ago to display on a stand with other hydrangea themed items in my living room. I wish I had more to actually use now that you set this pretty table. The green goblets are beautiful and what a deal!
Another lovely post. The green goblets are just gorgeous and work so well with the dishes.
Hugs,
Patti
Oh, those plates are wonderful. I love hydrangeas, but have never seen such images on a plate. The wavy edged placemats are wonderful too. Such a lovely spring table.
Oh I do so love that table runner. The plates are nice too. Lovely table scape.

You created a wonderful tablescape with the colorful plates and the ruffled green mats. Love the crocheted runner. Great deal on the stemware from Tuesday Morning - I am surprised you were able to get a set of four. Our store sells out fast.
Your tablescape is perfect for getting in the spring spirit! Love those green glasses!

Your hydrangea plates are fabulous. I just put a couple of huge plants in my pots out front that I got at Costco today. They are so beautiful and one of my favorite flowers but they are just annuals here.
Your giant hyacinths are stunning. What a fun table. We have daffocils and pansies out now and it sure lifts the spirits! I love spring flowers.
Your table is very pretty, I love the crochet topper:@)
I came back for another peek at your pretty Spring table, Marigene. Don't those hydrangea plates just make you happy? What a special gift from your sister!
How PRETTY!! I have a Tues. Morning nearby & you KNOW I'm running over there to see if they have any of those beautiful green stems.
I adore your Oneida Louisiana flatware...so classic & timeless. (Is that being redundant?) LOL
Beautiful spring time tablescape, Ms. M!!
fondly,
Rett
