Pink Hydrangeas

This week has been very overcast and rainy so the photos are kind of dull.
Everyone knows, by now, that green is my favorite color so with the arrival of spring I decided to do a mostly green table with my favorite flower!

The inspiration this week came by way of the green stemware and hydrangea plates. While shopping at Tuesday Morning a few weeks ago my friend Norma spotted the green goblets on a sale shelf. They were marked $2.99, but when I got up to the register they were discounted 40% from the sale price, so I got them for $1.80 each. I wish they had more than the 4 that were on the shelf.

Once I decided on using the hydrangea plates I pulled out the ruffled green place mats and white hand crocheted table runner for the foundation of this week's tablescape.

The napkins are a pale gray green gathered with green napkin rings.
I have used the Oneida Louisiana flatware.

I have used the Wedgwood Hedge Rose dinner plate topped with Noritake Colorwave Gray salad plate.

The only thing I have blossoming are giant hyacinths, so I snipped one for the table. Their smell is so intoxicating!

WOW! They are gorgeous! I would have snatched those up too. Our TM closed down. I think they are not doing well.
I love your table, and I did pink hydrangeas this week too, LOL! We must have been on the same brainless wave length! :)

Thanks so much for sharing this lovely Spring table at Let's Dish.
Those glasses will be perfect for St. Patrick's Day too!

You'd never know it was overcast from your photos! It's been raining here for several days and flooding has been a real problem in many areas.

Those beautiful hydrangea plates would certainly help with the dreariness. How pretty!

Such a pretty table and such a great bargain on those lovely goblets. I do love those plates and your ruffled placemats. Hope it will be sunny there soon!

The weather actually gives your photo an interesting lighting effect. It's quite beautiful.

Your new glasses are lovely and alas, as Kathleen said, no more Tuesday Mornings for us (not that it was every really close to me). Love these plates. So perfect for Spring.

I love the green goblets.......never cared for most shades of green until a couple years ago. They look great with the hydrangea plates, which I would have sworn had lavender flowers on them, too.
Rain, rain, and then maybe some snow on Friday.....just yesterday we got rid of all the remaining snow and the pond is finally snow and ice-free.

I love hydrangeas too! I have a terrible time with my bushes though - they rarely produce flowers!! Your plates are very pretty and your table looks beautiful. It isn't even close to being nice here!! We had one beautiful day so far - the rest all grey. I keep singing "the sun will come out tomorrow" just like Annie!

NO KIDDING the smell of the hyacinth is intoxicating!!! I LOVE it when I'm in the grocery store in March and get my first whiff! It gives me hope that we are not stuck in the desolate, gray, sunless cavern called Winter in Kansas City! :-)

Your hydrangea plates are SO pretty, and I love that you were able to get such a great bargain on the stemware. Don't despair...you are such a good one for hunting down stuff that I'm sure you will find 4 more...and those will probably be at a great price, too!

The ruffled placemats look really great with this setting. They add to the femininity of it.

I think we're both in the clear tonight for thunderstorms like the past couple of nights or the snow that they might get up north. It's gonna be COLD, though!!! :-(

P.S. - FYI: You have a shout out on my post this week! :-)

Everything about your table is really pretty and I don't say that just because green and pink happen to be my favorite colors. I love those hydrangea plates so much that I bought only one several years ago to display on a stand with other hydrangea themed items in my living room. I wish I had more to actually use now that you set this pretty table. The green goblets are beautiful and what a deal!

Your hydrangea plates are fabulous. I just put a couple of huge plants in my pots out front that I got at Costco today. They are so beautiful and one of my favorite flowers but they are just annuals here.
Your giant hyacinths are stunning. What a fun table. We have daffocils and pansies out now and it sure lifts the spirits! I love spring flowers.
