Spring Has Sprung!

Spring has sprung, at least at my table, if not outside. I am anxious for it to stay warm, not just a day or two here and there.

The inspiration for this week's table came from the very bold, colorful, floral garden tablecloth. It has all the colors of the rainbow and then some! I used striped pink, green and white napkins for contrast. I did a simple silverware pocket fold with them.

I have used my pink and green Bordallo Pinheiro cabbage leaf dishes...my favorites this week.

The stemware is Luminarc France.

I am using family sterling in the Oneida Afterglow pattern, circa 1956.

Finally, the centerpiece is unopened pink tulips from WalMart.

This photo was taken and added on March 30, 2014...it is a sunny morning, not overcast so the picture came out so much brighter! And the tulips are standing a little taller after having a big drink of water.

Thanks for taking the time to visit today...come back next time.

I will join Seasonal Sundays at The Tablescaper.

Beautiful table, it's so Springy and fresh. The tulips are lovely drooping over the container. I love seeing them droop. Your stack of dishes is gorgeous. One of my favorites for Spring. I have been thinking about mixing the green and pink. Take care.

Wow, this really brightened up a dreary, rainy day for me!! I love the colors of the tablecloth. They inspire hope that spring will come........eventually. I think the napkins are my favorite. They are wonderful and I love how you folded them. I've never seen that before. And your tulip centerpiece is outstanding. I love how they bend and reach for the table.

Beautiful!! You are a real artist!!

Gorgeous Marigene! I'd love to know more about the tablecloth. Has a Vera or Bob VanAllen look to it. The colors are stunning, and love the striped napkin pockets you made.

We need the spring on our table if we don't have it outdoors, that's for sure.

Simply lovely Marigene! The cabbage plates are perfect, i love the green and pink together, and the tulips are like a promise to be kept, a promise that Spring will come.

I am looking at the heavy snow falling outside my window. Already two more inches and more to come.

Ofcourse who doesn't love the cabbage bowls and plates in any color...they look great on that beautiful tablecloth....and the tulips from Walmart are beautiful...I love how they hang over the vase....If you ever need to have them standing straight in a vase for whatever reason did you know all you have to do is putt a few pennies in the water...it really works...Only I prefer them just the way yours look!

If only it was as pretty outside my home, as your lovely spring table is. Hopefully spring will eventually make its way to New Hampshire. :) Karen

Hi, Marigene! That tablecloth really reminds me of a Picasso painting! It has that kind of feel to it! Beautiful!

I'm surprised you were able to get a day with sunshine in it! You have to move really fast to grab your camera and shoot away because it sure doesn't last for long!!!

Your tulips are gorgeous! Those will surely perk you up until the weather holds for more than 5 minutes! :-)
