One of the first bloggers I made friends with when I started blogging over 6 years ago was, Linda of A La Carte. She has a thing for flamingos. I found the painted wood napkin rings a few years ago and patiently waited for something to come along that would go with them. Back in the fall I happened upon the painted salad plates...I couldn't put them in my shopping cart fast enough. A lady shopping the same aisle walked over to see what I had snatched up so fast. I told her I did tablescapes for my blog and wanted to surprise my friend, Linda with a table in her honor. Sorry I couldn't wait until June for your birthday, Linda, so here it is. Enjoy!
The tablecloth is poly/cotton and the cute pink, white and green napkins are cotton. I debated on using solid green or pink, but thought these added a little smile to the table.
The dish stack begins with Bordallo Pinheiro green chargers, then a pink dinner plate and finally the painted salad plate.
The glassware is Artland Iris green and a pink stemmed tulip shaped stem. I think they may be Libbey.
I have, once again, used Oneida Louisiana flatware.
Flamingos are not something I find often so I had nothing to use as a centerpiece so I looked around and came up with pink candlesticks and a couple of pots with succulents...that is the best I could do!
Thanks for visiting today, hope you will return next time.
Linda, I hope you enjoyed the table!

What a happy table!
Marigene, that is fantastic! Love pink and green, the succulents, and your fun hutch in the background is the perfect backdrop. Very Lilly Pulitzer: "Life's a party - dress like it!"
This is definitely a pick-me-upper on a gloomy (but fairly warm....42°) mid-winter VT day. Love the bright pinks and greens and the flamingos are great. Another winner.....
Our sister bought me some flamingo salt and pepper shakers years ago while on one of her vacations. She always got me the tackiest ones she could find. Too bad I got rid of them!

Very fun. Sandy F.
The title of this post alone made me SMILE!! I love this table. The napkin rings and the plates are so cute and FLAMINGOS are so my thing!! I love the pink and green and I also think the centerpiece is just perfect! Thank you for setting this table. My only regret is that I can't sit down with you and share a meal!
hugs,
Linda
Just love the pinks and greens! (I made a quilt for Grace with those colors) The oldest daughter once stole some garden flamingos and put them in my garden......after that, whenever she came home for a visit I made sure I had those flamingos stuck in the yard for her arrival!
Love your skill at putting a table together....

Marigene,
What a precious thing to do, dear friend!!!
I love the print napkins with the solid tablecloth!!!
A bit of whimsy is what one needs for her birthday!!!
Cute, cute, cute!!!
Fondly,
Pat
How nice to do a tablescape for a friend. I know Linda loved it!
Oh how fun, flamingos. Wish I had your brilliant creative mind. bbb
Such a cheerful table - what a lucky friend that you would make a table setting in honor of her. Those flamingo plates are perfect. I can see how you wouldn't see flamingos out in the middle of the midwest. LOL I love the way you said that the flowered napkins brought a smile to the table - and they do - and they brought a smile to my day. I think all the pieces fit together wonderfully - such springy colors. I've always loved pink and green. When my daughters were young teens I did their bedroom in pink and green - even made pink and green quilts.
Linda was one of my first blogging buddies, as were you Marigene :-) I know Linda will love this table! I know I do! The salad plates, napkin rings and napkins all go together just perfectly! And how smart to use the succulents in your centerpiece!
Marigene,
This table is adorable! I know Linda loved it. The flamingo dishes are wonderful and the table is so fun. Dianne

What a fun, whimsical table for Linda, Marigene! Those napkin rings and the cute plates just made me smile, and I'm sure they made Linda smile, too. The succulents and your candlesticks made for a perfect centerpiece!
So creative and pretty Marigene! The best part is you did it with your friend in mind!
Oh how adorable Marigene! And just what we all need during this winter weather, some pink flamingos!! You must have created quite a stir loading your cart to attract attention, and isn't it fun when you stumble upon a great find!!
Jenna
What a charming table!! Linda deserves it - she's such a sweetie!!
Love this table! Lucky Linda, just for her! :) The pink and green are especially fabulous together. Flamingo themed plates or flamingo themed anything are difficult to find. Of course you put them in your cart at lightening speed. :)
Aww... what a sweet thing to do, Marigene! Linda is a great gal and so worth this special table setting :)

Your table brought a smile to my face on this gloomy, cloudy day!
If this isn't the cutest table I have EVER seen, I don't know what is! I love it!!! How darling are those plates and napkin rings. Your other plates are totally beautiful. Your tablecloth and napkins couldn't be prettier. Whimsical and endearing. Love it all.
I forgot. The centerpiece with the gorgeous candlesticks and succulents are gorgeous as well.
Now that is a table that will put a smile on your face…so much fun.
Such a happy tablescape. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment. I love Linda too.

How fun! I love the colors.
What a lovely tribute for your friend!!! And what a fun table. I can see a great Florida inspired luncheon served - and I have no idea what a Florida inspired luncheon would be - lol.

This table is just darling! I'm sure Linda really appreciates it. Those flamingo plates are wonderful, as are those napkin rings.
Oh, I love pink flamingos too. I hope your friend Linda appreciates you! Love the table.
Oh, Marigene, this table put a huge smile on my face!! It's perfect at so many levels. Your vibrant color scheme pops and perfectly accents your Flamingo theme!! Those salad plates are wonderful, not to mention your napkin rings. How special Linda must feel to have such a lovely table produced to honor her love of Flamingoes. Thanks for sharing this!! Is there any way I can sign up to be a follower of your blog? I'd love to see your posts. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
Marigene,

I love the story of friendship and boy friendship goes a very long way.

Too cute! I don't think I have ever run across any flamingo tabletop. Our neighbors had pink flamingoes all over the yard the other day -- I gather it was someone's birthday. Anyway, I love pink and green and this is very clever.
I know Linda is still smiling! What a neat tribute! I know it was fun to come upon the napkin rings and then the plates.
You did a great job styling the table with what you had. It's a fun table.
Thanks for dropping by. I have one of the recipes you requested and will inquire about the other one. It may take a few days but I will get back with you.
The sight of those perky little flamingo napkin rings and the cute painted plates would brighten a dreary winter day for anyone. I think the print napkins are perfect to accent the flamingo setting and adds a great punch of whimsy that does add the smile. Love the stemware too.
What a sweet and thoughtful way to say how much you love your friend! Love the whimsy of the flamingo themed table and it's colors. Great table Marigene.
Happy February……..
Perfect for this dreary snowy day! I hope she loves it, I do!
This table looks so fun and gorgeous ♥

There are smiles all over this table! What fun flamingos and yes, you waited and got the most incredible plates to go with. This just makes me want to go to Florida to get out of the cold and snow. I know I just got back, but I truly hate it! We got 5 more inches yesterday. Yes, yes yes, we need the water, so I am not going to complain much, but this makes me smile and feel the sunshine on my face.
Pretty, preppy...perfection! :)
Hi Marigene! I love it, too...and what a nice early birthday surprise for Linda! I needed a little touch of bright spring color today!...hugs...Debbie
Your table is too cute. :) It made me smile.
