Red, White And Blue!

I found this red, white and blue table linen at Savers a couple months ago. The tag is in either Chinese or Japanese...I am guessing Chinese, though! The piece barely covers the top of the table, so I folded both sides in to make a table runner.  With the colors in it, I decided it would be perfect for a Memorial Day tablescape. I forgot to add the red  pillar candles between the vases before taking the photos. Sorry they are so dark, the weather has been rainy today and will continue through the week.

The napkins are held with red jeweled rounds.

The placesetting begins with a white wood charger, navy dinner plate, red salad plate and white ice cream bowl.

The flatware is International.

The red 6-paneled glassware was found at Goodwill.

The centerpiece is 3 milk glass bud vases filled with white carnations and a couple red pillar candles.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you will come back next time.

Marigene,
Lovely tablescape tribute for Memorial Day, dear friend!
I love the red stemware!
I spied the red pillar candles in one of your photos!
Clever to fold the tablecloth in to form a runner!
I, usually, place on a diagonal, but may try this idea in the future!
Fondly,
Pat

I've just been thinking about a table for Memorial Day and now you are inspiring me. I found a patriotic post that I hadn't posted that I may post this week. You did an excellent job with your red, white, and blue combination. I see your white cabbage bowls and I just found a box marked white cabbage plates. I had my husband bring it in from the shop so I could unpack it. Thanks for sharing.

Love the table runner. The fish are so cute and a perfect way to start the red, white and blue table. It has been sunny here this week and I'm so grateful as the moving is still going on. Ugh! Almost done, then the unpacking.
hugs,
Linda

What a pretty red, white and blue table, Marigene. Those red stemware were a happy find at GW! I'd be happy eating ice cream from those white cabbage bowls!

Third time is a charm. It has taken me that long for blogger to let me make a comment. I love the table - so bright and cheery. The napkins and napkin rings are perfection - and the little ice cream bowls - sigh!!!!

Everything goes together so well - enjoy the holiday!!!! We are having a big family barbecue and are even expecting some warmer weather - at last.

Nothing better than red, white & blue, except maybe that table runner. Perfect for a patriotic holiday, but also a little Asian with the runner. Well done. Enjoy the long weekend!

No Savers here, unfortunately. I love that fish design! It would be perfect for an Asian-themed dinner, or take out :)

Patriotic! I always hope to be able to put a red, white, and blue table together, but the holiday is long past before I actually do it...and then I don't. :-) Your table is lovely and that tablecloth with those fish is making me swoon. I absolutely love the fish image in any form. I've been thinking about how I really need more table linens. I seem to keep using the same ones over and over again. Time to shop!

Great find on the glassess. Love all the layers. My Tuesday Morning has the pink cabbage plates and bowls. I am so tempted to get some pieces. I always think of you when I see them. I am working on my 4th of July table and I hope to post it soon.
