Hopping Down The Bunny Trail!

This little bunny sitting on the Easter egg was the beginnings of my tablescape. I saw her in TJMaxx a couple weeks ago and she shopped right into my cart with a couple others from her family! She is holding a little butterfly. I have named her Petey, after my mother.

The tablecloth is Cynthia Rowley and the napkins are Max Studio Home from HomeGoods. I love the soft shades of aqua.

The plate stack begins with white wooden chargers from Pier One. A white Bordallo cabbage charger is the first of the plates, followed by an aqua cabbage dinner plate made by Mexcera, then a white Bordallo luncheon plate and finally an aqua soup/salad bowl made by Mexcera. The aqua dishes were from HomeGoods, also. I only found  dessert plates. In fact I went back this week to see if they got another shipment in, sadly they didn't. I am hoping they will get more as I would like to add more of this color to my collection. They can be mixed nicely with the Bordallo cabbage dishes.

The glassware are tumblers, with aqua/white straws, found at Dollar Tree a year or two ago and the stems are from The Pioneer Woman's line found at WalMart. I really hesitated on buying them, but they were the perfect shade to go with several dishes I own. They come in different colors, along with dishes to match. No, this isn't a paid for post!

The flatware is Oneida Louisiana, which I have used numerous times.

The centerpiece is made up of several items, some new, some old...aqua Mason jars, little black/white bunny salt/pepper shakers, aqua candle pedestal that Petey is sitting on, aqua chippy flower candlestick holders, white platform candle holders/shaded aqua pillar candles. little white egg cups with aqua eggs and white tulips.

Thank you for visiting today, hope you will come back next time!

I think Petey is the star of the table, Marigene! I just adore aqua and you've set your table just beautifully with the dishes, the pretty napkins, glassware and goblets. The tulips in the aqua mason jars are the perfect Spring time touch. I wish I could hop on over to see it all in person...loved the view of the painting, too!

OH, my favorite color Marigene! LOVE the bunny on the giant egg, adorable! I have been trying NOT to buy those PW goblets, because I don't need them, but they are so cute and perfect for your Easter table of aqua. Love the napkins and your signature cabbage plates! Happy week

What a beautiful color combination, Marigene...so fresh looking! I didn't know they came in those turquoise colors...my favorite.
Love all your darling bunnies & carrots & beautiful tulips, too.

To answer your question regarding how long it takes to make a quilt like Nicole's...the actual construction of the quilt top totally depends on the skill of the person. I'm guessing about 2 weeks if one doesn't make too many mistakes & has to rip out.
HOWEVER, the quilting of that puppy took me HOURS & HOURS & HOURS, days upon days upon days!! My back was killing me...I had to take Aleve & actually had a glass of wine when I finally finished it & I haven't drank much of anything for over 5 years! It was a true labor of love. That is also another reason why MINE is still sitting, waiting for me to get up the gumption to tackle it. LOL
Thank you for your sweet comments on it.

Hi Marigene, I love your Easter tablescape. I thing the aqua is perfect for spring and Easter. The centerpiece is my favorite of your bunnies, she looks so sweet up there on the moss, speaking of which I can't get enough of in the spring. Place settings are lovely and those cabbage plates gorgeous. Always get inspired here.
A happy weekend to you sweet friend……..

I'm feeling the bunny love from your pretty "Hoppin' Down the Bunny Trail" tablescape. Shopping is such fun when you find the goodies you want to set a wonderful tablescape like this one. Your bunny sitting on the aqua egg centerpiece is spot on perfect for this table. I do love aqua for every season and every holiday. The aqua mixed with whites and greens makes a beautiful combination that soothes the eyes and delights them at the same time.

Have a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Candy

Sorry I'm late! I came back to leave a second comment and see that my comment never went through. Do you know how many different colors there are in the cabbage plates? Petey deserves to be the center of attention! Aqua is one of my favorite colors (besides black and white LOL) and you've set your table tastefully with the dishes, those gorgeous napkins, glassware and goblets.
